Is creating a profile on Perfect Marry free?
Yes. Sign up, fill out your profile, browse other members, and send interest — all free, no credit card. You only pay if you want to message people directly or see their phone number, which most members do once they've found someone they want to talk to.
How are profiles verified on Perfect Marry?
Phone OTP, email check, government ID (Aadhaar / PAN / driver's licence), and a quick selfie that we compare against the ID. A person on our team reviews each one — not just software. Once they're satisfied, the profile gets a blue tick. The whole thing usually takes 24 hours.
Can my parents create a profile on my behalf?
Of course — a lot of profiles on our platform are run by parents. You can set up the profile, browse, shortlist, and even chat with other families. There's a Parent View dashboard that hides anything your child wants kept private (like exact salary), and a separate parent login that doesn't share your child's password.
How does the matching algorithm work?
Honestly, less "AI" and more "what you told us matters." We sort profiles using your stated preferences (age, religion, education, city, etc.), filter out anyone who's blocked you or vice versa, and rank by how recently they were active. Astrology / horoscope matching is optional — turn it on in Settings if you want it.
How is my privacy protected?
Your phone number is hidden by default — no upgrade needed. Photos can be set to "blur until I approve." Anyone who hasn't paid can't message you out of the blue. We don't sell data to anyone, ever, and we follow India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act. If something feels off, there's a Report button on every profile.
What if I don't find a match? Is there a refund?
Premium and Elite plans come with a refund safety net — if no one you actually want to talk to comes through in the first 7 days, write to us and we'll refund the fee. For longer plans, we usually extend rather than refund (most people prefer that). The Personal Matchmaker service has a 6-month match-or-refund clause built in.
How long does it take to find a match?
Honest answer: it's all over the map. Some people exchange numbers in the first week; others take six months because they're being deliberate. The median across our last 12 months of marriage data was about 4 months from sign-up to engagement. Premium plans help mainly because you can message without waiting for the other side to also be paid.
Who can see my profile?
Only members with verified profiles can see yours. If you want extra cover, you can blur your photos until you accept a request, or limit who sees them to people of your religion/community only. All these toggles live in Settings → Who Can View & Contact.
Can I hide my profile temporarily?
Yes — useful when you need a break or you're already in conversation with someone. Settings → Profile Visibility → "Hide from search." People you've already accepted can still see your profile; nobody new will find you. Toggle it back on whenever.
How do I verify my profile?
Open your Dashboard → Verify Profile, then upload any one of: Aadhaar, Passport, PAN card, or Driver's Licence. A person on our team checks it (not just OCR). The blue tick usually shows up within 24 hours.
What if I encounter suspicious behavior?
Hit the Report button on the profile — it's at the bottom of every profile page. Tell us what happened in a sentence or two. We'll look into it within 24 hours and you'll get an email update either way. If it's serious, you can also

What payment methods do you accept?
UPI (PhonePe / GPay / Paytm), Net Banking, credit and debit cards, and the usual wallets. For the 6-month and 12-month plans you can split it into 3 EMIs at checkout with most banks.
Can I cancel my subscription anytime?
Yes. Dashboard → My Plan → Cancel. Your access stays active until the date you've already paid for. No "are you sure?" loops or weird hoops.
Can I edit my profile after creating it?
Yes, anytime — Dashboard → Edit Profile. Small things (job title, hobbies) go live instantly. Big things (name, date of birth, religion) need a quick second look from our team because they affect verification. Usually approved within a few hours.
How many photos can I upload?
Free plan caps you at 3 photos. Essential gets you 10. Premium and NRI are unlimited. From our own data, profiles with 5 or more photos get noticeably more interest — partly because a single photo feels guarded.
Can I add a video to my profile?
Premium and NRI members can add a 30-second video. It's totally optional. Members who use it tend to get roughly 2–3× more interest than photo-only profiles, but only if the video is genuine — a smile to camera works better than a polished reel.
