We Built This For Our Own Cousins
In 2008, three of us watched a cousin spend two years on a popular matrimony site, talk to dozens of people, and end up disappointed. We thought we could do better — verify profiles by hand, keep numbers private, and treat parents as part of the process instead of working around them.
We started in a one-room office in Mumbai with about 200 profiles. Today there are 25 lakh+ members and roughly 6 lakh marriages we've been a small part of. The team is bigger but the rule hasn't changed: a real person checks every profile that goes live.
